Buffalo Creek’s first event of the New Year and by far its biggest event of the winter encourages beer-lovers to put on their hats and gloves and embrace the outdoors. The picturesque, pine-forest lined grounds around BCB have recently transformed into an outdoor German-stye winter retreat. The Alpine Biergarten Village (open seven days a week), modeled after a traditional ski village concept, features eleven custom built warming lodges nestled around roaring fire pits. Each cozy lodge is uniquely themed and outfitted with benches and tables, twinkle lighting, and holiday/winter décor to enhance the vibe. Guests of Alpine Fest, a free event, can enjoy several activities, from sipping freshly brewed beer alongside a popping fire to playing winter games (think Stein-holding in the Snow, etc) with friends. Additionally, Alpine Fest 2023 will also feature live music on each day on the outside main stage, a food truck dishing out winter comfort food like grilled cheese, soup, poutine, and chili, exciting drawings and contests, and hot chocolate for the kiddos. Outdoor table service and an outdoor Winter Lager Lane bar will fuel the fest with cold BCB beer – “the only time the beer will get colder the longer you hold onto it!” Inside the taproom, BCB also leans into the theme with its Alpine Lodge concept – a cozy German winter lodge atmosphere for those who prefer to stay indoors. Partial proceeds from Alpine Fest will benefit the Long Grove Lion’s Club.
